Dear staff

Thank you for all your sterling efforts over the past six months. I'm proud to be dean of a faculty with so many dedicated and competent people.

As you know, we’re in the process of realising our faculty strategy. As I go around and talk to you in the faculties, something that has made a big impression on me is your strong desire for better career opportunities and development: especially our younger researchers. For this reason, in recent months we’ve been working on initiatives in precisely this area.

It’s vital that science is incorporated into solutions to the major challenges facing society – and we’ll make sure this is so, through our research at the faculty and through providing highly qualified graduates for companies in Denmark and abroad.
Attracting talented young people to our degree programmes is now more important than ever. And that's why we've also made a new video that puts science at AU into words, images and people. The video is called "Welcome Home".

Finally, there’s only one more thing for me to say, and that is to wish you all a fantastic summer break with your family and friends.

I look forward to seeing you all well-rested and recharged for NAT’s summer party on 26 August. Remember to sign up before august 5: https://nat.event-site.dk/

Best regards,

Kristian Pedersen
