Use of laboratories at Natural Sciences

The faculty's laboratories are all different, and therefore there is no common set of rules for clothing and behaviour. However, the following applies to all the facilities:

• Before students and employees are allowed to work in a laboratory, local APBs must be prepared for the chemicals and products to be used, and risk assessments/WPAs must be prepared for each activity.

In addition, the departments must ensure that anyone wishing to use one of the faculty's laboratories has received relevant instructions before work commences. Relevant instructions are stated in the Checklist for laboratory introductions.
